This beautiful vintage sosaku kokeshi doll is just so sweet! Made in the newer sosaku (creative) style, this hand painted wood kokeshi doll has wonderful details, from the red bow in her hair, to her beautiful hand painted kasuri kimono (kasuri was a traditional dying and weaving technique dating to the 12th century). Purchased from a local collector who traveled and collected in Japan during the 1960s, this colorful doll is sure to be a beautiful addition to your kokeshi doll collection!

Condition: ➝ In very good condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. One small scratch on the back of the doll's kimono, shown in the last photo. This doll was clearly very well cared for and looks almost brand new.
