Hello, long lost friends! Clearly I've been pretty terrible at keeping up over here on the blog. I could go into the long list of reasons why, but instead, why don't I just get down to it.
Lately I've been feeling a strong urge to do some redecorating and reshuffling, mostly because we finally got a new sofa to replace our old blue IKEA Norsborg -- which is a whole crazy story. Basically, we bought a sofa off of Craigslist that started falling apart the first night we had it. We spent days trying to repair it, and even more days 'camping' in the living room (because we couldn't sit on the sofa without crashing to the floor) before we finally just chalked it up as a lesson learned and ordered a new sofa online -- this time one with great reviews and a warranty.
Amiina is the only one who actually likes the new sofa -- she's even willing to sit on it while we attempt repairs!
Since we couldn't sit on the new couch, we figured we might as well go all in on our pillow fort!Now we're just waiting on our new sofa to be delivered, and in the meantime, I'm dreaming up all kinds of little tweaks and changes in here -- particularly on that dreamy wooden bookcase. Usually I get super excited to mix things up and forget all about snapping a photo or two of our current design situation -- but this time I actually remembered! So go ahead and take a peek around this little corner of our living room as it is right now -- changes are on the horizon, including a new sofa that we'll actually be able to sit on soon! And now that we're all caught up again, I promise to share a little more of the fun along the way going forward.
